Upon stepping into Sakina Halal Grill, you are greeted with a casual and welcoming ambiance, perfect for gatherings with friends and family. The moderate noise level allows for comfortable conversations, while amenities like outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi, and TV add to the overall dining experience.
One of the standout features of Sakina Halal Grill is its extensive menu, featuring a range of vegetable and non-vegetable appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, biryanis, vegetarian specialties, grilled kababs, and much more. From the flavorful Vegetable Samosa to the aromatic Chicken Biryani and the mouthwatering Lamb Chops Kabab, every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail.
As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of sampling some of the menu items at Sakina Halal Grill, and I must say, the experience was truly delightful. The Vegetable Bhajiya was a crunchy and flavorful appetizer, while the Boneless Chicken Tikka Boti Kabab impressed with its tender and well-seasoned meat.
One of the highlights of my dining experience was the Lamb Roghan Gosh, a rich and savory lamb dish cooked to perfection. Paired with fluffy basmati rice and warm tandoori naan, this dish was a true feast for the senses.
Overall, Sakina Halal Grill stands out not only for its delicious food but also for its commitment to service and community. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, flavorful dishes, and a dedication to giving back to the community, this restaurant is a gem in the heart of DC. Love this place. I learned about this restaurant prior to moving to DC because of its social mission (free meals for those in DC who are experiencing homelessness). Service was solid and the food was delicious (strong authentic flavors) both times I've been here. The vibe of the restaurant is perfect for a night out.
